Measured directly. Held securely. Reported plainly.
Vitalis collects what happens to residents between clinician visits, directly from the source. Leased sensors take the readings and send them to Vitalis the moment they’re taken, time-stamped and unaltered. Facility staff add only what a sensor can’t see, such as a fall or a symptom, and every entry is dated, attributed, and kept. Nothing is averaged, estimated, or edited after the fact.
Every resident’s record is held under HIPAA business associate agreements with the facility, with consent from the resident or their representative. Identified records stay with the facility and are never sold. For research and benchmarking, Vitalis works only with data that has been de-identified to the standard HIPAA requires and certified by an independent expert, so no resident can be traced.
Over time, those records become something that does not exist today: a continuous, consistent account of daily health in residential care, large enough to learn from. Facilities use it to see how they compare. Families use it to understand how a parent is doing. Researchers and public programs use it, in de-identified form, to understand what helps older adults stay well.
Vitalis is not a healthcare provider. It measures and reports; every clinical decision stays with the resident’s own provider and the facility’s licensed staff.
